Watch Kendrick Lamar's New ‘Alright’ Video

Fresh off a show-stopping performance of “Alright” on the BET Awards, Kendrick Lamar has dropped an equally impressive music video for the "To Pimp a Butterfly" standout. The nearly seven-minute-long video directed by Colin Tilley and The Little Homies is filmed entirely in black-and-white.

The video begins with a monologue that does not precede “Alright” on the album, until the song’s message kicks in with an image of Lamar driving around Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, and Jay Rockin a car carried by police officers. The rapper later flies through the city while
proclaiming that “we’re going to be alright”.

At the end of the music video, Kendrick stands on a lamppost and a  white policeman shoots him down, falling down falls to the ground finishing his monologue from the beginning of the video, but leaves viewers with a smile, he's gon' be alright alright.
