LL CooI J's "I Shot Ya"

LL Cool J had a famous beef with Kool Moe Dee starting in the mid-1980s and later sparred with MC Hammer and Ice-T. "I Shot Ya" of the album Mr. Smith is one of the controversial songs released by LL Cool J. The song was produced by the Trackmasters. The official remix features Prodigy (of Mobb Deep), Foxy Brown, Fat Joe and Keith Murray.

"I Shot Ya" was released months after Tupac was shot at Quad Recording Studios in Manhattan, so he took this song as a diss towards him. Tupac's response came back in the forms of an unreleased track named "Lil Homies".

DMX recorded a freestyle over the beat of this song. In the freestyle DMX disses Tupac in the lines "You know for real that nigga tupac, suck my dick". He later used the lyrics on his debut single "Get at Me Dog" and dissed K-Solo instead of Tupac.
