Technology, Google Glass and Hip Hop

In today's world full of technological achievements, music and Hip Hop can't stay untouched by technology. I mean you can't really say there is an underground anymore, not like the one that was in the 1990s. Let's take a look at Hopsin, he is labeled by some as a underground rapper, but is that true? Hopsin took advantage of the Internet and has over 647.000 subscribers on his YouTube Channel, and a total of over 1.600.000 followers on Twitter and Facebook. But he is a underground rapper because he isn't played on the radio on on the TV as much as let's say Kanye West. Still, I wouldn't label Hospin as a underground rapper, because in today's world the TV and the radio are not important anymore when we have services such as Spotify, YouTube, Google+, Twitter. When a musician can use these free services at their best, almost anyone can have success without a major record deal.

Now imagine what will happen in the future, I mean technology always improves and innovates. Probably, +Google Glass will have the biggest impact on musicians, I really believe that Glass will be the next big thing. Imagine if you as a musician discover a new sound and you don't recognize it, or if you encounter a fan that speaks a foreign language that you don't understand, there are many uses for +Google Glass and maybe in a future article I will give more detailed examples for them.  In the meantime let's watch how a man involved in music uses +Google Glass. Also known as "The Sound of New York", +Young Guru  is a respected audio engineer, record producer and DJ for Roc-A-Fella Records and Def Jam Recordings. In his career +Young Guru worked with many well known artists such as +Jay Z, +Talib Kweli, +Rihanna and +Beyonce.
