Today, I will talk with you guys about the song that shares the same name with the album "1200 Ways". On some nice beats delivered by DJ $hin, Shing 02 delivers his unrivaled smooth flow in order to depict his love story with the Technics SL-1200 turntables, hence the title of the track and the album "1200 Ways"

Matsushita Electric of Japan, renamed Panasonic Corp. in 2008, was the first in the world to introduce direct-drive turntables, the SP-10 in 1970 and continued to create many different models in the 70's including the SL-1200 MK1 (S means "Stereo", L means "Player") in 1972. The Technics SL-1200 quickly became adopted among radio and club DJ's. Since its release in 1978, SL-1200MK2 and its successors have been the most common turntable for DJing and Scratching aka Turntablism. Producers, DJs & Rap MCs refer to the Technics turntable as the "Tec 12's", "Wheels of Steel" and the "Ones & Twos". Since 1972, more than 3 million units have been sold. It is widely regarded as one of the most durable and reliable turntables ever produced. Many of the models manufactured in the 70s are still in heavy use.

They went on to produce many direct drive models until MK2 (1979), which became the de facto industry standard. They only made minor model changes until MK6 became the last model in 2008, all production was ceased in October 2010. As a sign of its impact on the music industry, a Technics SL-1210 is on display at the London Science Museum as one of the pieces of technology that have shaped the world we live in.

Shing 02 who's also a producer owned a SL-1200MK2.

"Over the years, I watched you grow up
Mark2, a young model when I first met you
When we got close you let me pick your brain
Flipped you over and you didn't complain
I was amazed how you were so grounded,
Touched your colorful wires, and sounds bled"
